Introduction

AgentRouter lets an agent buy LLM inference with a wallet, receive a bearer key and use OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible APIs. No AgentRouter account is required.

Start with one wallet guide to install the wallet and purchase a key. Then follow the shared Use AgentRouter guides for model discovery and inference. Each wallet's plain Markdown version (MetaMask or Coinbase) includes the entire journey for an agent to read once.

Before you begin

• Use Base Sepolia testnet and test tokens. The model catalog displays real inference prices. Mainnet documentation is work in progress, not a runnable purchase guide.
• Work on macOS or Linux. Keep one terminal open through setup, purchase and inference.
• You control wallet setup and spending approval. Email verification, phone approval and faucet human checks may require you to act.
• Keep wallet credentials, verification codes and purchased bearer keys private. The site never needs your wallet's private key.

Choose one wallet

MetaMask: connect MetaMask Mobile, create a separate server wallet, fund it and purchase access with its official payment helper.

Coinbase: use the email-authenticated Agentic Wallet CLI. The purchase path currently requires an already-deployed smart account. The guide explains how to check this and when to stop.

What happens next

Once you have your key, discover models, then use the OpenAI-compatible API or Anthropic-compatible API. These steps are the same for both wallets.

If a payment or response is uncertain, stop and inspect the saved result before trying again. A fresh payment is not a recovery operation.
